2. Information we may process

Depending upon the AAA product or service being used, information processed may include business contact information, account and user information, information supplied by customers and authorised users, documents uploaded to our services, operational and system information, and information necessary to provide the particular service.

We only process information that is reasonably required to provide, maintain, secure and improve the applicable service, or where otherwise permitted or required by law.

3. How we use information

We may use information to provide and operate our products and services; authenticate and support authorised users; process information requested by users; maintain security and reliability; provide customer support; investigate technical problems; and comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information for advertising purposes.

4. viewEazy Invoice Tools Chrome Extension

viewEazy Invoice Tools is a Chrome extension provided as part of the viewEazy Finance functionality.

The extension processes information available within the authorised user’s viewEazy Finance environment and associated invoice documents. This information may include supplier names, invoice numbers, invoice dates or tax points, invoice net values and other invoice information required to provide the extension’s functionality.

This information is processed for the specific purpose of extracting and displaying invoice information, calculating invoice and property totals, and producing Excel exports requested by authorised users.

Local invoice processing

Invoice documents may be processed by the viewEazy Invoice Extractor installed locally on the authorised user’s Windows computer. The Chrome extension communicates with this extractor using the computer’s local loopback interface.

The local extractor is used to analyse invoice documents and return the information required by viewEazy Invoice Tools.

Local browser storage

viewEazy Invoice Tools may store extracted invoice results and operational information locally using Chrome’s extension storage facilities. This enables previously processed invoice information to be restored and reduces unnecessary repeated processing of documents.

Information accessed by the extension

To perform its function, viewEazy Invoice Tools requires access to relevant viewEazy Finance pages, invoice documents made available through the viewEazy service and the locally installed viewEazy Invoice Extractor.

The extension does not use this access to build a user’s general browsing history or for advertising or behavioural profiling.

Use and disclosure of invoice information

Information processed by viewEazy Invoice Tools is used solely to provide its invoice-processing, display, calculation and export functionality.

We do not use or transfer information processed by the extension for advertising, determining creditworthiness or lending purposes, or purposes unrelated to the extension’s stated functionality.

We do not sell information processed by viewEazy Invoice Tools.

5. Data sharing

We may use service providers where necessary to operate and support our services. Where information is processed on our behalf, we take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate contractual and security safeguards are in place.

We may also disclose information where required by law, regulation, court order or another lawful authority.

6. Data security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.

Users and customer organisations are also responsible for maintaining appropriate security for their accounts, devices and access credentials.

7. Data retention

Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it is processed, to provide the applicable service, to meet contractual requirements or to comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

Information stored locally by software or browser extensions may remain on the user’s device until it is cleared, replaced or the relevant software or extension is removed.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location and applicable data-protection law, you may have rights in relation to personal information concerning you, including rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or other information about its processing.

Requests can be made using the contact details below.

9. Cookies and website technologies

AAA websites may use cookies and similar technologies necessary for website operation, security, functionality and, where applicable, analytics. Where required by applicable law, appropriate information and choices will be provided to website visitors.

10. Third-party services

Our websites and services may contain links to or integrate with third-party services. Those third parties may have their own privacy policies and practices. Users should review the applicable third-party policies where appropriate.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes to our products, services, legal requirements or information-processing practices.

The current version will be published on this page together with its latest revision date.
